Such a success, that 2# of ground beef & box of macaroni was gone in no time (along with garlic rolls, cole slaw and a full pan of sheet cake brownies), especially when he invited 2 of his friends in my neighborhood in to eat both lunch AND dinner.

HOWEVER, when I found your recipe on Pintrest recently thought I’d give it a try your way over this past snowy weekend when grandson was here again. Neither of us liked it (possibly because of the boxed macaroni dinner) & it was immediately removed from the quickie meals section of Grandma’s recipe book. My housekeeper has been telling me how her family loves it she uses leftover sloppy Joe or taco meat mixed with a boxed macaroni dinner for a quick & easy dinner for a long time now, so I tried it when my grandson came to visit overnight a few months ago. Bake uncovered for 5 additional minutes or until cheese on top has melted.Season with salt and pepper and stir well. Pour the milk, egg, and cheese mixture over the macaroni. Pour noodles and meat mixture into baking dish.In a large bowl, combine noodles and sloppy joe mixture.Add melted butter and 3 cups of shredded cheese.Whisk the egg and milk together in a medium sized bowl.Add elbow macaroni and boil until half-cooked or for about 5 minutes. Bring a pot of salted water to a boil.Let the flour cook, stirring constantly, for 1 minute. Meanwhile, melt the butter in a large saucepan over medium-low heat. Add the dry pasta, and cook for 1 minute less than the box calls for for al dente pasta. Add Manwich and cook 2 to 3 minutes more or until sauce thickens slightly. Bring a large pot of salted water to boil over medium-high heat.1 can Manwich (Original, Bold, or Thick & Chunky). So it’s great as a Monday meal solution for busy families! But this week I decided to change it up a bit and see how the family handled taking a classic and giving it a bit of a twist! It gets my kids to stop and sit down to eat every time. It’s a classic and everyone in my family likes it. One of my tried and true Monday night dinners is sloppy joes and tater tots. Unless it’s a meal like the one mentioned above but most of them aren’t like that… if I am thoughtful about meal planning! It just seems like a great way to start the week. Monday night is one night I always try to make sure my family has a meal together. This week, Baked Sloppy Joe Macaroni and Cheese hit the spot! Baked Sloppy Joe Macaroni and Cheese Sometimes you’d think I’d asked him to walk on hot coals with the way he carries on.) So my goal is to start the week off with a good meal together which means I need a dish they will all love. (That would be my life with a four-year old who is a picky eater.

I’ve discovered it can be an amazing time for bonding or like a scene out of horror movie where everyone is running and screaming. This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Manwich for IZEA.
